I personally find this offensive myself and do cringe once hearing these lyrics, but playing devil's advocate here: Would this be as offensive if Comedy Central's David Alan Grier would have came up with this song as part of one his segments?

Or do people take offense to this song (CD) because Saltsman was not a comedian, and instead in politics?
